Part 1
Composition: I cropped the photo to only show the sky and clouds.
Concept/Aboutness/Idea: I wanted to play with the fact that the billboard may blend into the sky in the right weather, and stand out against it as a window to another sky in other weather.
Method: I created an HDR photo to place over a billboard, that would emulate the sky.
Motivations: I wanted to play with the fact that it is sky juxtaposed to sky.
Context: This is more cultural, a piece on the fact that there are so many billboards that it makes it hard to see the sky, and I wanted to make it so that they would also be part of the sky as well.

Part 1
Composition: I wanted to position the candle in the center and leave the fork to lead your eye off to the right so as to read the text there.
Concept/Aboutness/Idea: I wanted to create a playful ad for Beanpod Soy Candles. I also wanted to play with the fact that the scents are so close to the wonderful food that they are named after.
Method: I used natural lighting since the product is all natural and a tripod to keep the camera still for the longer exposure.
Motivations: I wanted to create a fun ad.
Context: This is somewhat cultural since it is an ad based image with words promoting a product.
